INSTALL & USE

Use a web app on your computer

A separate app window can make a daily checklist easier to find among dozens of tabs. You can still use the same website in a normal browser window if that suits you better.

These routes follow Google and Microsoft documentation checked October 25, 2026. They are documented instructions, not a claim that every listed operating system has been device-tested here.

Chrome on a computer

Open the website in Chrome. In the main menu, choose Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app. Some sites also show an install control in the address bar. Follow the confirmation.

To find installed web apps, enter chrome://apps in Chrome’s address bar. Use the app’s menu to uninstall it. Chrome offers a separate option to delete its data; export work before choosing that option.

Microsoft Edge on a computer

Open the website in Edge. Microsoft documents Settings and more, More tools, Apps, then Install this site as an app. A site may also offer an installation control.

Enter edge://apps to manage installed apps. Open an app from its card or use Details for shortcuts and removal. During uninstall, Edge asks whether to delete app history and data. Make that decision separately from removing the icon.

Updates need a little care

The app’s pages and code can update from its host. Cached versions may remain active until the app’s update process runs. If the app says an update is ready, finish your work and follow its instructions.

Do not assume repeatedly refreshing will install the newest version. Ask the maintainer if the version stays old. Keep the browser itself updated through your normal device-management process.

Keep a fallback

Save the web address somewhere the team can find it. If a browser does not offer installation, try the website directly before changing software.

For a business tool, test reopening, keyboard navigation, export, and a sample correction on the actual computer. If you share a computer, agree which browser profile and account hold the records. Two profiles can look similar while containing different data.
