Free worksheets for your next web app

Use these plain-text worksheets in any text editor, paste them into a shared document, or print them. There is no account to create. Fill them with the task you actually need, not a wish list for every future feature.

One-job planning worksheet

Write the user, task, inputs, output, success check, and exclusions. Include the device and whether the job needs a connection. Bring one real example to the planning conversation, with private details removed.

If the first version needs six different kinds of user, try narrowing the task. A clear boundary is more useful than a long feature list.

Device test checklist

Download the device test checklist ↓

Record the device, OS, browser version, app release, date, and evidence. Test installation, offline behavior, updates, saving, keyboard use, and readability. Mark anything you did not test as untested.

Keep desktop emulation separate from physical phone tests. Both are useful, but they prove different things.

Backup and restore checklist

Download the backup and restore checklist ↓

List what is exported, where a separate copy lives, who can access it, and how you tested restoring it. Use a safe test space before importing into the working app.

A checkmark beside “export exists” is not enough. Open the file and recover a known record.

Owner handoff sheet

Download the owner handoff sheet ↓

Record account ownership, hosting, costs, source files, support, and recovery steps. Keep secrets out of this document. Name where credentials are stored securely and who can grant access.

Have someone inside the business follow the sheet before the builder leaves. Fix the instructions where they need help, and keep the checked date visible.
